Welcome to Milan, Tennessee, a population of nearly 8,000 residents, located in GibsonCounty at the crossroads of US Highway 45 and US Highway 70A/79 in the central section of West Tennessee in the heart of the US Southeast Region. We are within a one day drive of 76% of the major markets and 48% of the US population.

Among the leaders in Economic Development, Milan is home to the largest industrial base of the county with over a dozen major employers. Agriculture also plays an important role in our economy with Milan hosting “Milan No-Till Field Day”-the nation’s largest field day of its kind devoted to improving the production of no-till crops and conservation-at The West Tennessee Agricultural Museum. Milan has a unique mix of retail establishments with national chains and locally owned specialty shops, one of which is the only boutique in West Tennessee specializing in homemade candies.

Milan is an award recipient of the Three Star and Tennessee Downtowns programs evidencing the community’s continued success and accomplishments. Additionally, the City’s Industrial Board is one of the most aggressive in our state. The city has also created new and progressive planning, zoning, and codes that will undoubtedly further spur growth while keeping our small town southern charm.
